Steve Hanneman is thrilled to be the host of 'The Ultimate Diver Challenge'. An avid sports enthusiast and certified advanced Open Water scuba diver himself, Steve brings unique experience and his trademark personality to this groundbreaking new Sports Reality show.

Steve originally competed in the Sports Entertainment arena with 'The American Gladiators' under the call sign Maverick. A series favorite, he was subsequently invited back to host the show and commentate the live play-by-play action. Steve is also an accomplished Hollywood stuntman, always fascinated by the concept of constantly putting his body in harms way! In addition to television and movie stunts, Steve's most critical acclaim remains for jumping the infamous 'Batmobile' over a perilous 22-foot concrete embankment.

Steve Hanneman, the host, is best known to television audiences for
his hit show 'Hammer Heads', as well as for 'Designed to Sell'
and 'Deconstruction'. His shows have been distributed to more than
91 million households in the USA and in over 126 territories
worldwide.

Steve was immediately attracted to hosting 'The Ultimate Diver Challenge'. Donning his scuba gear and getting a first hand experience of the underwater challenges, night dives, sharks and barracuda left him with the feeling of wanting to compete himself. 'I've been incredibly impressed with the expertise of these divers and the originality of these challenges, and when extreme sports and reality TV meet at this level, anything can happen!'
